Netflix next month (November 2026) will add 120 new TV shows and movies to its lineup. Here are the 3 best new Netflix releases for older viewers:
3 Best New Netflix Releases For November 2026
Black Doves (Season Two, Netflix Original)
When to Watch: November 5 (Season one now available)
What Kind of Show: Drama, Intrigue
Who’s In It: Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw
Keira Knightley starred in season one as a British spy whose reckless love affair put her and everyone around her in danger. In season two, Knightley continues to balance her allegiance to her family (she’s married to a high-ranking British official who’s unaware of her double life) and a secret intelligence unit called The Black Doves. The Netflix original series is tailor-made for older audiences who appreciate sophisticated themes coupled with carefully-crafted plot lines. Knightley is exceptional in lead as is her sidekick Ben Whishaw who plays a lethal assassin. Great show!
Obsession (2025)
When to Watch: November 17
What Kind of Movie: Horror, Sci-Fi
Who’s In It: Inde Navarrette, Michael Johnston
Michael Johnston plays a hapless shop clerk whose secret and unrequited affection for a sassy female colleague (the sensational Inde Navarrette) goes supernatural when he employs a novelty spell to make her ‘obsessed’ with him. The low-budget 2025 film, directed and written by 25-year-old Curry Barker, became a global phenomenon, amassing more than $500 million at the worldwide box office. Normally, TV For Seniors would not choose a movie that was originally targeted to young audiences, but Obsession is superbly done, one of the best ‘horror’ films I’ve seen in the last 10 years. Despite his years, Barker exhibits the patience and skill of a director decades older, allowing the story to unfold naturally which makes it far scarier than many of its rivals that rely too much on repeated jumpscares. Watch this movie, folks. You will love it.
The Hunting Wives (Season Two)
When to Watch: November 26
What Kind of Show: Drama
Who’s In It: Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman
This steamy Texas drama follows Sophie and Margo as old secrets and new threats pull them back together amid murder, power games, and tangled relationships. With Brittany Snow, Malin Åkerman, and John Stamos joining the cast, it delivers classic soap-opera thrills: betrayal, ambition, and suspense. Older viewers who enjoyed Dallas, Dynasty, or twisty mysteries will appreciate the sharp dialogue, complex characters, and high-stakes intrigue.
