By Phillip Swann
The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox and the CW tonight (February 1, 2026) will add nine new shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)
68th Annual Grammy Awards
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 8 p.m. ET
What Kind of Show: Awards Show
Who’s In It: Trevor Noah, Sabrina Carpenter
The music industry’s annual salute to itself will air Sunday, February 1 on CBS and Paramount Plus (for subscribers with the $13.99 a month Premium plan), starting at 8 p.m. ET. Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Olivia Dean, The Marías and Addison Rae are among the expected performers. Trevor Noah returns as host for the sixth and final time.
Sunday Night Basketball
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 7 p.m.
With the NFL out of the way (except for next Sunday’s Super Bowl), NBC is premiering Sunday Night Basketball which replaces Sunday Night Football in the schedule. Tonight’s debut features a big time matchup between the Lakers and Knicks at 7 p.m. while the Thunder visits the Nuggets at 9:30 p.m. Cue the Roundball Rock theme and we’re good to go.
60 Minutes (New episode)
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 7 p.m.
Who’s In It: Bill Whitaker
Bill Whitaker, who was last seen being a victim of collateral damage for his interview of Kamala Harris, reports on NASA’s planned Artemis II mission which will bring four astronauts (three Americans, one Canadian) around the Moon and back. The launch is expected within the next week, weather permitting.
